BE7A submerged with textpattern
September 18th, 2005 | Posted in cms | Comments (2)I’m pleased to announce my first entry log using textpattern which is now powering BE7A EX7ENSION. Textpattern had capture my attention few months ago when surfing around online. After reading their capabilities, testmonial, community site, and lurking around their forum discussion, I just had to try it. Basically, it’s a CMS for all kinds of websites. After messing with Textpattern for some time, I have to say it ROCKS! I’m just amazed how easy it is to work with, yet so much depth to learn from. The old ways of coding websites had left me agitated since it took so much of my time. Now with textpattern, organization and customization are the biggest thing that designers and programmers alike could ever dream of. Any type of manual coding would cut down three times the labor. You can simply turn on or off on certain content or rearrange the information with ease. You can always reuse the template and plug in the information with a string of command code. So far I’ve uncovered about 30% of what it is capable of. I can’t wait to learn more about it as I go along.
Goodbye tables and hello css!
January 24th, 2005 | Posted in designs | Comments (0)The good old fashion tables I normally hand code to build website is now GONE! This may seem old news to you, but it took me a while to update this website. I knew about CSS since the pioneer of CSS, but I didn’t bother to emphasise it until now. If you’re not sure what I’m talking about then simply right click anywhere on your web browser and select “view page source” or select “view source” from “View” menu at the top of your browser. What you’re seeing is a HTML code that output the information on your browser. This code barely contains any tables compare to my old website. The previous website was messy and difficult to read. It’s the same as reading a clear concise article compare to reading an unorganized article that would confuse readers.
