Changing Textpattern to Wordpress
February 16th, 2007 | Posted in cmsA while back, I made a choice to use Textpattern (v4.03) as a CMS to maintain BE7A. At the time, Textpattern had better controls in terms of outputing contents and customizing layout. After working with it for a year, I constantly find myself changing layouts that I can’t seem to bring myself complete. I thought to myself, how will I ever get BE7A done if I can’t be satisfied or stick with one layout? Textpattern has its own benefits in development aspect, but efficiency was severely lacking such as organization and maintaining files. It took more time to search where files were located and it doesn’t provide any tools to organize them. One way to look at is, the more files you have the list goes on without breaking into groups or folders.
